IFPDA Grant Application Requirements

Organizations seeking funding should provide a hard-copy proposal that clearly and succinctly states the information detailed below. Three copies of the entire application must be submitted. Only proposals typed, signed and in hard-copy format will be reviewed. Please do not submit electronic requests for grants.

  • IFPDA Grant Application Cover Sheet
    The Cover Sheet can be downloaded and printed from the IFPDA's web site www.ifpda.org. Applicants may also request a pdf of this document by email. The Cover Sheet should be attached to the front of each copy of application submitted.

  • Project Title
    A short descriptive title of the project for which the Applicant is requesting assistance. If no formal title exists or if the title is not descriptive, a short phrase describing the activities of the project should be substituted.

  • Project Description
    A description of the proposed project to be funded, including goals, implementation plan, and timeline. The primary mission or more than half the operating budget of the project should be dedicated to print-related arts.

  • Organizational Background
    A brief description of the mission and history of organization seeking funding. Include a list of past exhibitions of fine prints or shows of major importance.

  • Personnel Information
    Qualifications of key project personnel who will implement program.

  • Financial Information
    Estimated overall project budget and narrative explaining the proposed use of funds, other sources of funding, and total amount requested.

  • Grant Period
    Please specify the time period for which funds are requested. The grant period should begin no earlier than September 2006.

  • Date of Completion
    The date when the project will be fully completed. If funding is requested for an exhibition, please provide start and end dates.

  • Exhibition proposals should include possible travel venues, dates and possible changes to the show that would be necessary for the exhibition to travel.

  • Potential Impact on Field or Community
    Description of the geographic area to be served and the organization's primary constituency in addition to that of the proposed project.

  • Plan for Public Outreach
    Describe how organization plans to create public awareness and engagement with the project.

  • Nonprofit Certification
    A copy of the IRS determination letter confirming the institution's federal nonprofit 501(c)(3) status. If the organization is based outside the United States, please provide documentation of not-for-profit status.

  • Statement of Nondiscrimination
    Organizations seeking support must deem their programs open and accessible to all members of the public, regardless of sex, race, creed, national origin, disability, or age.
